Traylor fails physical, won’t join Nets

East Rutherford, NJ (Basketball News) - New Jersey Nets president Rod Thorn announced on Tuesday that free agent forward Robert Traylor failed his physical and will not be joining the team for the 2005-06 season. Thorn did not elaborate on the reason for the failed physical.

Traylor, who is listed at 6-foot-8 and 284 pounds, averaged 5.5 points and a career-best 4.5 rebounds in 74 games last year with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He has also played for Milwaukee and the Hornets and has averaged 4.8 points and 3.7 rebounds since starting his NBA career in 1998.
