The Magic trailed 42-40 in the second quarter, but scored the final nine points of the half to lead by seven at the break. Nelson had five of those points.

A 7-2 run by the Magic at the end of the third expanded their lead to 77-66.

The Hawks trimmed their deficit to 97-91 with 3:11 left after a layup by Josh Smith, but Orlando responded with a 7-1 spurt over the next 61 seconds to seal the victory. Stevenson’s fast-break bucket culminated the spurt.
