=== Utah Jazz Team Report - December 11 ===

(Basketball News) - Matt Harpring finished with 17 points and hit a jumper in overtime to give the Jazz the lead for good, as Utah snapped a six-game skid with a 92-87 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in a wild affair.

Carlos Boozer had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Jazz, who won for the first time since Andrei Kirilinko went down with a knee injury.

The game featured 17 lead changes, 11 ties, a key referee call and several big shots for both clubs down the stretch. This was the first of a home-and-home which will wrap up Sunday at the Rose Garden.

With the game tied at 81 apiece in the waning seconds of regulation, Utah’s Mehmet Okur missed a three-pointer.

Okur was fouled attempting a three-pointer in the waning seconds of regulation, and went to the line for three foul shots. The Utah center came through by hitting all three of his free throws.

The Jazz needed all of them, as the Blazers inbounded with just 1.3 seconds left, but Damon Stoudamire was allowed to launch a three-pointer from the right sideline, and he drained the trey to send the game into overtime.

Harpring hit a rainbow 10-footer to put the Jazz up 83-81 one minute into the extra session.

Theo Ratliff hit one-of-two free throws to pull within 83-82. Okur hit one-of- two on the other end, and a Zach Randolph layup tied the game at 84 apiece with 2:40 left.
