(Basketball News) - The Utah Jazz will attempt to stop a three-game losing streak tonight, when they continue their five-contest road trip in Philadelphia against the 76ers at the Wachovia Center.
The Jazz swept a pair of meetings between these squads last season, including a 94-86 victory in Philadelphia. The Jazz have won seven of the last nine games in this series, including three of their last four in Philadelphia.
Utah is 0-3 on its current road swing and 3-12 since a starting the season with seven wins in 10 games. The Jazz couldn’t get the job done once again on Sunday, falling 94-93 to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Matt Harpring paced the Jazz with 21 points. Raja Bell netted 20 points, Carlos Boozer contributed 19, and Mehmet Okur finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds in the losing cause.
Utah ended just 24-of-36 from the free throw line, while hitting 3-of-5 from three-point land. In the contest, the Jazz hit 45.8 percent of their shots from the field. The Jazz won the battle on the glass by a 44-29 margin in the loss.
Utah has lost its last seven on the road for the first time since the 1996-97 season. The Jazz are only 4-9 in foreign buildings this season.
The Jazz have a 2-9 record since forward Andrei Kirilenko was placed on the injured list.
