(Basketball News) - The struggling Utah Jazz were handed a setback on Saturday evening against the Dallas Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki poured in 30 points to lead the Mavs to the 109-86 win at AmericanAirlines Center.
Matt Harpring shot 10-of-15 for 22 points to pace the struggling Jazz, losers of four straight games and six of their last seven.
Carlos Arroyo had 16 points and six assists. Mehmet Okur’s five rebounds led the team as Utah mustered just four boards off the offensive glass.
Leading 68-66, the Mavericks bridged a 15-3 run over the third and fourth quarters to pull away.
The Jazz begin a three-game homestand against the Miami Heat on Monday evening.
