The 23-year-old Kirilenko suffered the injury during the first half of Saturday’s game against San Antonio. There is no timetable for his return, but he is expected to be out for at least two weeks.
Currently in his fourth NBA campaign, Kirilenko had started all 14 games this season for the Jazz and was second on the team in both scoring and rebounding at the time of his injury.
Utah selected Kirilenko with the 24th overall pick of the 1999 NBA Draft. In 254 career games, he has posted averages of 13.1 points, 6.1 boards and 2.41 blocks per outing.
In a related move, the team activated rookie forward Kris Humphries, who had been on the shelf with knee tendinitis.
