Warriors have to be better than .500

The streaking Orlando Magic open a four-game road trip when they visit the Warriors on Wednesday at ORACLE Arena. It is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On December 22nd, Davis scored 38 points and dished out nine assists to lead the Warriors to a 117-108 win over the Magic at TD Waterhouse Centre.

Orlando has lost three of its last four at the Warriors. Golden State has won three of the last four contests in this series.

Golden State tries to get back on the winning track as it begins a three-game homestand. On Sunday, Shawn Marion registered 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Suns to a 128-105 rout of the Warriors at US Airways Center.

Monta Ellis scored 22 points, but also accounted for nine of Golden State’s 25 turnovers in the loss to Phoenix. Baron Davis had 17 points and Kelenna Azubuike tallied 16 for the Warriors, who have dropped two of their last three games overall.

Davis (sore wrists) is probable for Wednesday’s contest.

The Warriors are a solid 14-5 at home this season. They will also host the Miami Heat and the Clippers on the homestand. Golden State lost to the Heat, 105-92, on December 23rd at AmericanAirlines Arena, and will be playing the Clippers for the first time this season.

A two-time All-Star, Davis leads the Warriors in scoring (21.2 ppg) and assists (8.4 apg). He has scored in double-digits in four straight games and recorded a pair of double-doubles in that span.

Golden State is 9-17 when it allows 100 or more than points this season.
