Oakland, CA (Basketball News) - The Golden State Warriors on Wednesday re- signed center Adonal Foyle. As per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Foyle, an eight-year veteran out of Colgate, played just 44 games last season due to knee problems and averaged 3.1 points and 3.8 rebounds to go along with 1.0 blocks per contest. He has averaged 4.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in 438 career games, all with Golden State.
"We’re extremely happy that Adonal has elected to remain a member of the Golden State Warriors," executive vice president of basketball operations Chris Mullin said. "He has continued to evolve as a player over the last few years and has certainly established himself as one of the better defensive players in the league."
The 29-year-old Foyle will most likely be the starting center for the Warriors next season, as Erick Dampier opted out of his contract and is not expected to return to the club.
