(Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards were handed their second loss in the three games on Tuesday night, as they dropped a 104-93 decision in Sacramento.
Gilbert Arenas posted 22 points and six boards for the Wizards, while Antawn Jamison posted 20 points and Larry Hughes added 19 in the loss.
The Wizards got within 64-63 midway through the third on a layup by Brendan Haywood, but Sacramento responded with a 14-6 flurry. Mike Bibby’s three- pointer with three minutes left in the quarter put the club ahead 78-69.
Washington got within 89-85 on a three-pointer by Arenas midway through the fourth, but got no closer and suffered the double-digit loss.
Haywood registered 11 points for the Wizards, who fell to 7-6 on the road this season.
Washington is off until Sunday night when it completes a five-game road trip in Minnesota.
