(Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards improved to 2-2 on their current seven-game homestand.
Larry Hughes had 23 points and nine rebounds, as the Wizards rallied from a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit to post a 105-100 win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday at the MCI Center.
Kwame Brown added 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Wizards, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Brendan Haywood chipped in a game-high 13 boards in the win.
Jarvis Hayes and Steve Blake each scored 13 points for Washington in Friday’s victory.
The Wizards were 28-of-47 from the foul line (60 percent) and held a commanding 59-41 edge over Phoenix on the boards.
Washington is off until Sunday when it hosts rookie phenom LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
