(Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards play the finale of a five-game road trip tonight, as they take on the Phoenix Suns at America West Arena.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between the two clubs. On January 30th, Washington defeated the Suns, 105-100, at the MCI Center.
On Sunday, the Wizards lost to the Sacramento Kings, 100-92, at ARCO Arena. Gilbert Arenas led the Wizards with 27 points. Larry Hughes and Kwame Brown had 18 points apiece in the defeat, Washington’s fourth in its last five contests. Brown also pulled down 15 boards in the loss.
The Wizards are a dismal 7-29 on the road this season.
Washington has won four of five and five of the last seven contests with the Suns. These two teams have split the last 10 meetings. Washington has lost 13 of its last 14 at Phoenix.
Arenas has averaged 21.4 points in his last 10 games.
