(Basketball News) - Gilbert Arenas posted his first career triple-double by scoring 25 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists, leading the Washington Wizards to a 100-90 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at MCI Center Wednesday.
Larry Hughes went 5-for-6 from behind the three-point arc and finished with 19 points for the Wizards, who won for the first time in their last three games. Washington hit a franchise record 13 three-pointers on 30 attempts in the contest.
Christian Laettner added 13 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in the winning effort. Jarvis Hayes also ended with 13 points and Juan Dixon added 11 off the bench.
Washington traded center Jahidi White to the Phoenix Suns Wednesday in exchange for guard Brevin Knight.
The Wizards are off until Friday when they host the Toronto Raptors at MCI Center.
