Wizards activate Haywood from injured list

Washington, DC (Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards activated center Brendan Haywood from the injured list prior to Wednesday’s win over the Chicago Bulls, 93-82.

Haywood, who suffered a fracture on the tip of his left thumb against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 25, finished with seven points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes.

The 25-year-old Haywood is in the midst of a career season, as he is averaging 9.4 points and 6.8 rebounds in 64 games, the highest numbers of his four-year career.

In a related move, the Wizards placed center Peter John Ramos on the injured list with left knee tendinitis.
