Wizards’ Jamison sidelined 2-8 weeks 01.31.2007

According to the Washington Times, Jamison, who scored 69 points in his prior two games, will miss action because of a sprained left knee suffered in Tuesday’s 104-99 victory over Detroit.
Jamison banged the knee in a collision with teammate DeShawn Stevenson at the conclusion of a Washington fast break midway through the first quarter.
"We don’t know exactly what is wrong yet," Washington coach Eddie Jordan said to the paper. "He has been sore and he will not travel with the team to Toronto. He is going to stay and get an MRI on Thursday and we will take it from there."
The forward had also hyperextended the knee against Boston on January 20, but returned to action later in the contest.
Jamison has averaged 19.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.
