(Basketball News) - The Cavaliers couldn’t derail the red hot Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, as they fell 120-101 at America West Arena.
Jeff McInnis tallied a game-high 26 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 21 points, while Drew Gooden recorded 19 rebounds and 11 points. It marked Gooden’s sixth double-double of the season.
LeBron James rounded out the Cavs’ double-digit scorers with 15 points and also notched six assists. James has registered double-digits in every game this season, as he is averaging 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists per contest.
Cleveland hit 44.3 percent from the field in the game, including 45 percent (9-of-20) from three-point range. The Cavs drained 14-of-17 shots from the charity stripe.
The Cavs were outrebounded by the Suns, 48-37, in the losing effort. Cleveland has lost back-to-back contests.
Cleveland, which sits one game behind first place Indiana in the Central Division, finishes up it three-game road trip in Denver tonight. Second-year stars James and Carmelo Anthony, who both played on the Olympic team this Summer, will go head-to-head in the contest.
