Nenê Unhappy about Marcus Camby Trade

It’s been a tough year for Nenê. After a battle with testicular cancer which saw the Brazilian pivot miss much of last season, he must have been hoping to ease his way back into Denver’s rotation in ’08-’09. It doesn’t look as if he’ll be afforded such an opportunity, however, now that starting centre Marcus Camby has been shipped to the Los Angeles Clippers for, well, nobody. Understandably, Nenê isn’t too happy about that.

"I’m gonna be honest, I was very angry during that time," he said. "First of all, he’s like my brother. He helped me a lot."

Economics drove the decision to move Camby. The team removed $10 million from its payroll, which was important for owner Stan Kroenke, who, according to the NBA, cut the league a luxury tax check of roughly $13.5 million for last season’s payroll, which was $81 million. - DenverPost.com

How do you expect the Nuggets to perform this season without Camby in the middle? Is Nenê ready to hold down the middle for Denver this season? Is another trade on the way? Let us know what you think in the comment section.

The trade for A.I. was the first mistake. G. Karl is going to ruin this team just like Bikerstaff did. Karl is just like Marty Schottenheimer in football gets to the playoffs and can never win it and the Nugs should have reconized that from the start since They were the one to eliminate them as a nimber 8 seed agaist a number one seed of Karls. Now they have NO defense with Camby and Najera gone. They should have kept everyone minus A.I. Hired one of the Van gundys or Rick Carlisle when they had the chance. now they better find some body to trade A.I. for some "D" or maybe bring Billups back to Denver for A.I. and cash. or get Andre Miller back and James Posey .

If the Nuggets were smart they would have gotten rid of Iverson . He’s a selfish thug who has never won a title ( & never will ) . Camby , on the other hand , has always been a team player ; from his days at the University of Massachusetts to now . I’m a 76ers fan & believe me ... I know what I’m talking about when it comes to Iverson . Now that we have Elton Brand , I think we’re a player ( or maybe two ) away from really challenging for the Title . I would have loved it if we had signed Camby . The K-Man .

Vote for Ralph Nader that is the real change For America. Nene should be happy Camby got traded that gives him a better opportunity to contribute. Or maybe Nene is afraid to actually earn that $60 million contract. This gives Him and K-Mart a chance to step up, and actually earn the overpaid money given to me $152 million for those two alone, now wonder they’re salary cap is crazy and they had to give away Camby .

nuggets need to make a move they already had bad defense and now they lost their best defender. they need somebody to come in who is a great defender, unselfish and has a lot of energy because they defintly wont have any problems scoring .
