(Basketball News) - Richard Jefferson scored a game-high 31 points to go along with six rebounds to help the New Jersey Nets to a 101-88 win over the Seattle SuperSonics on Tuesday at Continental Airlines Arena.
Kenyon Martin collected 25 points and seven boards, and Jason Kidd finished two rebounds shy of a triple-double with 14 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, as the Nets won their third straight game for the first time this year.
Even though New Jersey did not score in the final five minutes, with the Sonics ending the game on an 18-0 run, Seattle still couldn’t get closer than the 13-point final margin.
New Jersey is 5-5 away from this season will start a brief two-game road trip in Orlando on Friday.
