New Orleans Hornets Team Report - January 20 01.20.2004

(Basketball News) - The New Orleans Hornets may have lost more than just the game in Monday’s 97-90 setback to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Baron Davis led New Orleans with 25 points, but left the game midway through the fourth quarter with a sprained left ankle and did not return. Darrell Armstrong netted 18 points to go with eight assists for the Hornets, losers of five of their last six games.
Davis, who had 18 points in the first half, suffered the injury after landing awkwardly upon taking a jump shot with the Hornets trailing 85-84. He hobbled off the court and headed to the team’s locker room for further evaluation.
New Orleans was also without rookie forward David West, who missed his fourth consecutive game with a sore knee. There is no timetable for his return.
Davis will be re-evaluated on Tuesday and is questionable for Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia.
