New York Knicks Team Report - December 10 12.10.2003
|
(Basketball News) - The New York Knicks will try and put the brakes on a season-high five-game losing streak tonight when they close their five-game road trip against the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center.
New York’s latest setback came on Tuesday, as it dropped a 98-90 decision to the red-hot Los Angeles Lakers. Shandon Anderson and Howard Eisley both scored 26 points for the Knicks, who are winless thus far on their season-high trip.
Anderson started in place of guard Allan Houston, who did not dress for the second straight game due to an ailing right knee. Houston, who holds a team- best 19.6 points-per-game average, has been bothered by the knee all season following offseason surgery. He is questionable for tonight’s contest.
Keith Van Horn put up 16 points in the losing effort for New York, which fell to 3-10 away from home this season.
New York has won two of its last three against the Jazz, who have won nine of 11 and 15 of their last 19 meetings with the Knicks. The Knicks have also won two straight in Utah after losing there eight consecutive times.
However, the road team in this series has won the last four matchups.
