Nowitzki struggling with sore left ankle

The MVP candidate injured the ankle in the team’s 105-103 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday.

Nowitzki, who is averaging a team-best 24.9 points and 9.3 rebounds, twisted his left ankle with 3:42 remaining in the first half. He came back to play a minute in the third quarter before departing again.

Nowitzki finished the game with 17 points and is one point shy of 15,000 for his career.

He will be re-evaluated after tomorrow’s shootaround.
