Okafor leads Bobcats over Hawks 01.19.2007

Adam Morrison contributed 19 points off the bench for the Bobcats, who have won four of their last six contests. Gerald Wallace recorded his third double- double of the season with 18 points and 15 boards while Jeff McInnis netted 10 points in the win.
"There were no bad shots taken," Okafor said. "We stepped up on defense and got the needed win."
Charlotte finished 48 percent shooting in the game.
Joe Johnson scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Hawks, who had a three-game winning streak halted. Josh Smith had 14 points and Josh Childress donated 12 in defeat.
The Hawks went on a 7-0 run at the end of the first quarter to tie the game at 21, but Charlotte scored nine of the final 10 points in the second for a 53-41 halftime lead.
Okafor finished with 17 first-half points.
Charlotte continued to control the game in the third and opened up an 18-point advantage following four Anderson free throws late in the frame.
Ryan Hollins’ dunk to start the fourth highlighted an 8-0 flurry and put the Bobcats up 83-57 with 9:04 to play.
Atlanta was never able to recover and trailed by double digits the rest of the way.
