Oral surgery sidelines Iverson

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - Philadelphia 76ers all-star guard Allen Iverson missed Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons due to surgery to remove an abscessed wisdom tooth.

Iverson leads the Sixers with 28.7 points, 7.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He also ranks first in the NBA with 43.4 minutes per game.

His status for Wednesday’s game in Milwaukee is uncertain.
