(Basketball News) - The Orlando Magic lost to the New Orleans Hornets, 100-91, Tuesday at the TD Waterhouse Centre.
Orlando has lost 16 straight games and needs to win tonight at New Orleans in the back end of the home-and-home set to avoid tying the franchise record of 17 straight losses, originally set between December 1991 and January 1992.
Gordan Giricek had a game-high 25 points for the Magic, whose only win of the year came in overtime against New York in the season-opener on October 29. Juwan Howard and Tracy McGrady each added 16 points.
Orlando fell to 0-10 at home this season.
Drew Gooden came off the bench and scored 11 points for Orlando.
McGrady grabbed 15 rebounds in the loss.
The Magic outrebounded the Hornets 58-50.
