(Basketball News) - The Orlando Magic were defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks, 113-102, on Wednesday at the Bradley Center.
Juwan Howard led the Magic with 24 points and eight rebounds. Rookie Keith Bogans scored a career-high 21 points and Tracy McGrady chipped in 20, as Orlando suffered its ninth straight loss on the road.
The Bucks took an 87-84 lead early in the fourth quarter courtesy of a Toni Kukoc three-pointer. Orlando continued to play catch-up and Bogans pulled the Magic within 91-89 with a trey midway through the period. With 2:48 to go in the game, Michael Redd converted a three-point play to extend the lead to 102-92.
"Michael Redd hit all kinds of shots tonight," Bogans said. "That just goes to show you how, in this league, a guy might have an off-night and you might defend him well, but he’s going to come back out there the next night and play well."
Orlando got right back into the game with an 8-0 run capped by Drew Gooden’s 1-of-2 free throws with 1:01 left. Redd countered with another three-point play for a 105-100 cushion. The Magic never got any closer and suffered their 10th loss in 11 tries at the Bradley Center.
Howard has scored in double digits in five straight games and is averaging 18.6 points in those contests.
The Magic are off until Friday when they visit Atlantic Division rival Philadelphia.
