Orlando Magic Team Report - March 18 03.18.2004
|
(Basketball News) - The Orlando Magic’s misery continued on Wednesday, as they found themselves on the losing end of a 110-85 decision against the Golden State Warriors at the Arena.
Tracy McGrady, averaging 46.3 points over his previous three games, was held to just 18 points on 5-of-14 shooting for Orlando. Juwan Howard also had 18 as the Magic dropped their third straight and fifth in the last six.
To make matters worse after the game it was announced that McGrady is expected to miss the remainder of the team’s road trip to attend the funeral of his great-grandmother.
McGrady learned of the death before last night’s game and admitted after the game that it was a distraction.
The 24-year-old McGrady is averaging a league-high 28.2 points in 66 games this season. He will miss contests against Portland and Seattle this weekend.
Orlando has dropped eight of their last 10 on the road and are 9-27 away from home this season.
The Magic will return to action on Saturday in Portland.
