|
(Basketball News) - Orlando, which owns the league’s worst record (19-52), has lost four straight and nine of its last 12 games.
The Magic didn’t do well without Tracy McGrady, who was tending to personal business, on Saturday as they fell 92-73 to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.
Juwan Howard netted 21 points and hauled in nine boards for the Magic, who have dropped four straight contests. Drew Gooden contributed 14 points in the setback.
The Trail Blazers made 49 percent of their shots (39-of-79), while the Magic connected on just 28-of-89 for the game (32 percent).
The Magic have dropped five consecutive road contests. For the year, Orlando is only 9-27 on the road. Orlando will try to end their road woes without McGrady this evening, when it takes on Seattle at KeyArena.
Seattle won the first and only other meeting with Orlando, 115-101, at TD Waterhouse Centre last Saturday. These two teams have split the last 10 meetings in this series. Orlando won its last trip to Seattle.
