|
(Basketball News) - The Orlando Magic’s misery continued on Sunday, as they dropped a 107-90 decision to the Western Conference-leading Sacramento Kings at the TD Waterhouse Centre.
Juwan Howard paced Orlando with a season-high 26 points and eight rebounds. Tracy McGrady, Tyronn Lue and DeShawn Stevenson each had 13 points for the Magic, who have dropped five of their last seven contests.
McGrady, though, had no field goals over the final 35 plus-minutes. He also missed the Magic’s only two misses from the free throw line.
Orlando, which held a one-point halftime lead, was outscored 31-18 in the third quarter. In the last three games, the Magic have been outscored in the third period by a combined 33 points.
On the injury front Drew Gooden missed his first game of the season due to infected hair follicles on his right leg.
Orlando, which has the NBA’s worst mark at 18-47, will return to action on Tuesday against Miami.
