Indiana is in first place in the Central, five games ahead of the Detroit Pistons. The Pacers are also the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
This is the third meeting of the season between the two squads. The previous two games were played in Chicago, as each team picked up a victory. The clubs will play again on April 14th at Indiana.
The Pacers have lost three of their last four contests. On Saturday, Indiana fell 99-95 to the Memphis Grizzlies at The Pyramid. Jermaine O’Neal poured in a game-high 28 points and hauled down 11 boards in the loss for the Pacers.
Ron Artest added 23 points on 10-19 shooting in 38 minutes of action against Memphis. Jeff Foster contributed 17 points in the setback.
Indiana is 24-12 on the road this season. The Pacers are 7-0 in Monday games.
Chicago has lost 10 straight and 11 of its last 12 at Indiana. The Bulls last win at Indiana was on March 17, 1998.
The Bulls come into tonight’s contest on a two-game winning streak. On Saturday, Chicago tallied an 87-81 win over the New York Knicks at the United Center.
Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford both scored 25 points to lead Chicago to the victory. Curry added 14 rebounds and Crawford dished out nine assists for the Bulls, who have won consecutive games for the fifth time this season. Antonio Davis contributed 11 points in the win.
Chicago is 3-7 in Monday games this season. The Bulls are a brutal 7-27 on the road.
The home team has won five of six and seven of the last nine contests in this series.
