Indiana knocked off the previously unbeaten Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night by a 97-86 score at Conseco Fieldhouse. Jermaine O’Neal led the Pacers with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Rawle Marshall also scored 16 points.
Al Harrington finished with 14 points and eight rebounds for the Pacers, who beat the Sixers for a third straight time. Danny Granger also had 14 points in the win which was highlighted by big runs in the second and third quarters.
Meanwhile, the Wizards have lost two of their first three games of the season and suffered a 106-103 loss to the Orlando Magic on Monday at TD Waterhouse Center.
Antawn Jamison poured in 29 points and 10 rebounds and Gilbert Arenas chipped in 24 points for the Wizards. Etan Thomas had 14 points and 15 rebounds in the losing effort.
Indiana and Washington have split the last eight meetings. The Pacers have won four of the last six contests in this series..
Indiana has won two of three and seven of the last 12 meetings at Washington.
