Philadelphia 76ers Team Report - January 25

=== Philadelphia 76ers Team Report - January 25 ===

(Basketball News) - The Philadelphia 76ers’ struggles continued on Saturday, as they found themselves on the wrong end of a 95-87 decision to the LeBron James-less Cleveland Cavaliers at Gunda Arena.

Allen Iverson scored a game-high 32 points for Philadelphia, which has lost five of its last six. Glenn Robinson chipped in with 20 points for the Sixers, while Eric Snow had 10 points with nine assists.

The Sixers went into the game without starting forward Kenny Thomas (eye) and center Derrick Coleman (finger), both of whom were injured in Friday’s loss to Orlando.

Philadelphia spent the entire fourth quarter trying to chip away at the Cavaliers’ lead, and eventually got within five at 90-85 with 58.5 seconds left on a pair of Samuel Dalembert free throws.

But it became a free throw shooting contest from there for the Cavs, who buried 5-of-6 down the stretch. Meanwhile, Iverson went 1-for-2 from the field and McCaskill committed a turnover to close out the contest for the Sixers. Iverson followed up his 21-point performance in the third by scoring just two in the fourth.

The Sixers return to action on Tuesday against New Jersey.
