(Basketball News) - Allen Iverson scored a season-high 40 points and Aaron McKie added 18 to lead the injury-plagued Philadelphia 76ers to a 112-105 victory over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday at the MCI Center.
Iverson finished 12-of-29 from the field and 14-of-18 from the free throw line. Eric Snow ended with 13 points and 11 assists for the Sixers, who have won two of their last three games. Samuel Dalembert contributed 10 points, nine rebounds and five blocks in the victory.
Philadelphia played without starting forwards Glenn Robinson and Kenny Thomas. Robinson is hampered with a sprained left ankle, while Thomas has a bruised lower back and is experiencing tightness along the right side of his body. The Sixers also lost forward Derrick Coleman, who has a strained left knee, in the first half.
Willie Green scored 10 points in 11 minutes off the bench for Philadelphia.
Philadelphia finished 36-of-42 from the free throw line.
The 76ers are off until Friday when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
