(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns welcome the Dallas Mavericks tonight at America West Arena.
This is the third contest of the season between the two squads. Both clubs have picked up a victory on its homecourt in the two previous games. The teams will meet once again on April 3rd at American Airlines Center.
The home team has won eight straight and 11 of the last 12 contests between the two squads. The Suns have won three of the last five meetings. Dallas has lost four straight and seven of its last eight at Phoenix.
The Suns come into tonight’s game on a three-game losing streak. On Friday, Phoenix lost to the Utah Jazz, 99-90, at America West Arena. Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 26 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
Joe Johnson chipped in 23 points and nine boards, as the Suns suffered their 12th loss in 15 tries. Phoenix also has dropped seven of its last nine as the host. Shawn Marion had 15 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
Phoenix is 2-7 in Saturday games this season.
The Suns are 14-18 as the host this season.
