Phoenix Suns Team Report - March 17

(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns lost to the Los Angeles Clippers, 110-98, on Tuesday at America West Arena.

Amare Stoudemire paced the Suns with 28 points and nine rebounds, as Phoenix lost for the sixth time in its last eight contests. Shawn Marion and Joe Johnson scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, as the Suns dropped their fourth straight home game.

The Suns held a 66-38 advantage in points in the paint. Los Angeles outrebounded Phoenix, 49-43. The Suns fell to 2-27 this season when allowing an opponent to score at least 100 points.

Phoenix is off until Friday when it hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves. It will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams. The Suns are 0-3 against the Timberwolves.

Stoudemire has scored at least 20 points in 15 of his last 26 games. He has averaged 25.8 points and 11 rebounds in his last 10 contests.
