(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns lost to the Philadelphia 76ers, 99-94, on Wednesday at the Wachovia Center.
Joe Johnson poured in a game-high 27 points, while Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire had 24 points apiece for the Suns. Phoenix, which was outscored 32-18 in the fourth quarter, had its two-game win streak halted.
Phoenix sank 21-of-24 tries from the charity stripe. The Suns shot 45 percent from the field and had a 40-33 edge on the boards.
The Suns are off until Friday when they visit the New Orleans Hornets. It will be the second and final meeting of the season between the two clubs. The Suns lost to the Hornets, 111-101, on December 11, 2003 at America West Arena.
Johnson has scored in double digits in 34 straight games. He has averaged 20.8 points in his last 10 contests.
