(Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns try to make it two straight wins this evening when they head to San Antonio to face the defending champion Spurs at the SBC Center.
On Friday, Amare Stoudemire poured in a game-high 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Suns to a 99-94 win over New Orleans.
Shawn Marion added 21 points and 10 rebounds for Phoenix, which has won three of its last four games. Joe Johnson scored 17 and contributed eight assists in the win.
The Suns, who will be wrapping up a four-game road trip tonight, have won just four of its last 13 on the road and is 16-21 away from home this season.
Phoenix is just 3-9 in games played on Saturday this season.
San Antonio has defeated the Suns three times already this season and could hold the advantage tonight, as the home team in this series has won seven of 10 and 11 of the last 15 matchups. Phoenix has also dropped six of its last seven and eight of its last 10 in San Antonio.
