Pistons place Billups on injured list

Toronto, ON (Basketball News) - Detroit guard Chauncey Billups was placed on the injured list Tuesday prior to his team’s 87-78 loss to Toronto.

Billups has missed four games with a sprained left ankle that he suffered a week ago. In 78 games this season, he is averaging 16.9 points and 5.7 assists.

To take Billups’ spot, Detroit activated forward Tremaine Fowlkes from the injured list. Fowlkes had been sidelined with a groin injury.

Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace also missed Tuesday’s game with a sore left arch and it was the second straight contest he sat out. In 22 games with the team, Wallace is scoring 13.7 points per contest.
