Portland’s Aldridge out indefinitely

04.4.2007

Portland, OR (Basketball News) - Portland Trail Blazers center LaMarcus Aldridge is out indefinitely after experiencing a rapid heartbeat and dizziness.

Aldridge left during the second quarter of Saturday’s game against the LA Clippers. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for dehydration.

In a statement on the team’s website, Portland general manager Kevin Pritchard and head coach Nate McMillan said Aldridge would miss Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz and it out indefinitely.

Aldridge is averaging nine points and five rebounds over 63 games in his rookie season for the Trail Blazers.
