Portland’s Aldridge to miss rest of season

04.9.2007

Portland, OR (Basketball News) - LaMarcus Aldridge’s rookie season is over after undergoing a series of tests at Providence St. Vincent’s Medical Center that diagnosed Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome.

The Texas product was treated for the condition by Dr. Daniel Oseran, and he will be monitored by a cardiologist for an unspecified amount of time. He is expected to make a complete recovery and resume physical activity, including basketball, in the near future.

Aldridge complained of dizziness before leaving Portland’s home game against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 31 and has sat out every game since.

Aldridge averaged 9.0 points and 5.0 rebounds over 63 games, 22 starts, for Portland this season.
