Portland suspends Randolph for one game

12.9.2006

Portland, OR (Basketball News) - The Portland Trail Blazers announced on Saturday they have suspended forward Zach Randolph for one game as a result of his actions at the end of the team’s loss to Indiana on Friday.

Randolph, who is also being fined, will miss the club’s game in Toronto on Sunday.

The incident occurred when Randolph fouled out late in the 108-95 loss and made an obscene gesture towards the Indiana crowd.

Now in his sixth season, Randolph is averaging 25.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in 21 contests so far this season. He is averaging 15.1 points in 340 career games.
