Portland Trail Blazers Team Report - January 21 01.21.2004

(Basketball News) - Derek Anderson scored 29 points, including all of Portland’s 12 points in overtime, as the Trail Blazers survived a meltdown in regulation to beat Sacramento, 109-104, at ARCO Arena.
Rasheed Wallace added 26 points and 15 rebounds for Portland before fouling out in overtime. He wouldn’t have had the chance to get that sixth foul had the Blazers not blown a 10-point lead in the final minute of regulation.
But Portland held on to snap its five-game losing streak and won for just the second time in 11 games. Zach Randolph chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory was also just the Blazers’ third away from home this season, as they improved to 3-16 on the road this season.
Portland, which had lost six of its last seven in Sacramento, returns to action on Saturday against Golden State.
