(Basketball News) - Damon Stoudamire recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists in leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a 94-83 victory over Washington on Monday at the MCI Center.
All 18 of Stoudamire’s points came on 6-of-8 shooting from three-point range, as the Blazers won on the road for just the fourth time in 20 tries this season.
Zach Randolph and Rasheed Wallace each scored 16 points in the win, as Portland also improved to 7-0 all-time at the MCI Center. Wesley Person came off the bench to post 12 points, while Derek Anderson and Darius Miles chipped in 10 each.
With the win, the Blazers are 5 1/2 games behind Denver for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot, and the opportunity to extend their playoff streak to 22 seasons.
Portland returns to the court on Wednesday agianst the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies.
