The Raptors lost to the injury-depleted Philadelphia 76ers, 81-75, on Wednesday at the Air Canada Centre.
Vince Carter paced Toronto with 20 points and seven assists. Chris Bosh chipped in 16 points and Lamond Murray added 13 for the Raptors, who lost for the first time in six home games this season.
Antonio Davis netted 12 points and pulled down nine boards, as Toronto lost for the fourth time in five games.
Toronto is winless (0-5) on the road this season.
The Nets fell at home to the New Orleans Hornets, 88-85, on Tuesday.
Richard Jefferson led New Jersey with 16 points in the losing effort. Kerry Kittles and Brian Scalabrine each contributed 14 as the Nets had a two-game winning streak come to an end.
Kidd had a poor showing against the Hornets, hitting just 3-of-10 shots for six points in the contest.
New Jersey is just 2-4 at home this season.
The Raptors defeated the Nets, 90-87, in front of their home crowd to open the season on October 29. Toronto snapped a four-game losing streak to New Jersey with the victory.
The home team has been dominant lately in this series, winning 11 of the last 13 contests.
New Jersey has won six of eight and nine of the last 14 meetings between the two squads.
