=== Sacramento Kings Team Report - November 8 ===

(Basketball News) - The Sacramento Kings were stunned by the New York Knicks, 114-111, Friday at Madison Square Garden.

Peja Stojakovic led the Kings with 36 points in the loss. Mike Bibby added 19 for Sacramento, which lost for the seventh straight time in MSG.

Sacramento led by 11 points, 91-80, early in the fourth quarter before New York went on an 18-3 burst to take control of the contest.

Charlie Ward’s three-pointer with 7:39 left in the contest drew the Knicks within one at 93-92 with 7:39 to play in the game. After a timeout and a missed shot by the Kings, Keith Van Horn drained a shot from behind the arc to give New York its first lead since the first quarter.

The burst, though, did not end there, as Allan Houston later hit another three to give the Knicks a 98-93 advantage with just over six minutes to play.

Sacramento later closed within two on a three-pointer by Bibby with 49.4 seconds remaining in the contest. Coming off a timeout, the Knicks received a clutch shot from Houston. With Doug Christie draped all over him, Houston was still able to convert a difficult 15-footer to make it 110-106 with just over 30 seconds to play.

Stojakovic then nailed a three-pointer to pull the Kings within one, but Dikembe Mutombo rebounded a Houston miss with 4.8 seconds to go and was fouled. He calmly hit both from the line to make it a three-point margin.

The Knicks then purposely fouled Bibby, who made the first and tried to miss the second. However, his second attempt found its way in the basket to make it a one-point game at 112-11 with 1.9 seconds left in the game.

Houston was subsequently fouled after New York got the ball inbounds and made two free throws, as New York finished off the contest by converting 21 straight from the line.

The Kings were then unable to get off a desperation three-point attempt to send the game into overtime.

Sacramento is off until Sunday when it travels to Boston to tangle with the Celtics.
