(Basketball News) - Malik Rose’s 17 points led seven Spurs players in double figures, as a Tim Duncan-less San Antonio squad easily defeated the Golden State Warriors, 99-74, on Friday at the SBC Center.
With Duncan on the sidelines resting his knee, veteran Kevin Willis came off the bench to notch 16 points and seven rebounds. Manu Ginobili also finished with 16 points as San Antonio won for the fifth time in six games overall.
Tony Parker had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Spurs in the contest.
San Antonio used its trademark defense to produce the win. The Spurs held Golden State to just 38 percent (29-of-76) shooting from the floor.
The Spurs are off until Sunday when they visit the Sacramento Kings. San Antonio is 1-1 against the Kings this season. The teams will play again on March 31st at the SBC Center.
