(Basketball News) - Manu Ginobili had 17 points and Tim Duncan added 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs over the Detroit Pistons 84-75 on Thursday at SBC Center.
Tony Parker finished with 16 points and seven assists for the Spurs, who used an 18-2 run over a 5 1/2 minute span in the fourth quarter to put away the Pistons.
San Antonio, which has won three of four, is within two games of Midwest Division-leading Minnesota and four games within Western Conference-leading Sacramento.
The Spurs are off until Saturday when they host the Pheonix Suns. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two clubs. San Antonio is 3-0 against the Suns.
Ginobli has scored in double digits in seven of his last eight games. He has averaged 15.5 points in that span.
In his last four contests, Duncan has averaged 21.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.25 blocks.
