(Basketball News) - Tim Duncan posted 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead San Antonio over Phoenix, 105-76, on Saturday at the SBC Center.
Hedo Turkoglu also netted 14 points for the Spurs, who won for the fourth time in five games. The win also moved San Antonio within 1 1/2 games of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who currently occupy the top spot in the Midwest Division.
San Antonio defeated the Suns for the fourth time this season and completed its first regular season-sweep over Phoenix since the 1989-90 campaign.
The Spurs, who will continue their four-game homestand against rookie phenom LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, have won eight straight and 11 of their last 12 at home and are 28-8 in their arena this season.
San Antonio lost to the Cavs earlier in the year, but it has won six of eight and 16 of the last 20 meetings. The Spurs have also won 13 straight at home in this series with Cleveland’s last win there coming back on December 8, 1988.
