(Basketball News) - San Antonio recovered from a tough loss to Philadelphia on Friday with a dominating 95-71 win in Washington D.C. Saturday.
Malik Rose scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead San Antonio to the victory. Tim Duncan posted 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Spurs, who ended their three-game East coast trip with a 2-1 record. Jason Hart netted 12 points and Tony Parker contributed 10 in the win.
The Spurs put the game out of reach in the third as they quickly extended the lead to 56-41 on a pair of Duncan free throws. The margin grew as high as 23 in the period and San Antonio held a commanding 70-49 cushion after 36 minutes.
San Antonio shot 48 percent from the field (38-of-80) in the contest. The Spurs have won eight of the last 10 meetings with Washington.
San Antonio returns to the court to battle the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
