Seattle attempts to halt a three-game losing streak on Monday when it welcomes the New Jersey Nets to KeyArena. It is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 13th, Luke Ridnour scored a career-high 32 points and dished out seven assists to lift the SuperSonics over the Nets, 119-113, at Continental Airlines Arena.
The SuperSonics have won two straight and four of the last five contests against the Nets. New Jersey has dropped two in a row and six of its last seven at Seattle.
Seattle returns home after a loss on the road. On Saturday, Monta Ellis poured in a career-high 31 points and added seven rebounds and seven assists to power the Golden State Warrior to a 107-95 victory over the SuperSonics at ORACLE Arena.
All-Star Ray Allen totaled 34 points and 11 rebounds in the loss to Golden State for the SuperSonics, while Rashard Lewis scored 17 and Luke Ridnour netted 14 and Earl Watson contributed 12 points in defeat.
The SuperSonics are 1-4 at home this season. They will visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday at the Staples Center. The Clippers won three of the four contests between the clubs in 2005-06. Seattle has won 17 of the last 21 meetings at the Clippers.
Allen has scored more than 20 points in seven straight and 10 of 11 games. He is averaging a team-best 26.5 points per game and has shot 45.9 percent from the field.
