(Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics fell to the Houston Rockets, 111-107, on Monday at KeyArena.
Ronald Murray led Seattle with 24 points. Ray Allen and Vladimir Radmanovic each had 21 points for the Sonics, who have lost seven of their last nine games.
The Rockets led by three at halftime, but built a 20-point lead at 81-61 with just under five minutes left to play in the third quarter. The Sonics, however, would not go away quietly.
Radmanovic, Allen and Rashard Lewis each hit a three-pointer and Lewis dunked off an alley-oop pass from Murray to cut the Rockets’ lead to 98-94 with 3 1/2 minutes remaining.
Another trey by Radmanovic with 12.8 seconds left made it a two-point game, 105-103. Houston, however, then made 6-of-8 from the line to seal with win.
Seattle will close its season on Wednesday in Los Angeles against the Clippers.
