(Basketball News) - Ray Allen paced all scorers with 23 points in leading the Seattle SuperSonics to a 94-74 win over the Toronto Raptors at KeyArena.
Rashard Lewis added 22 points and nine rebounds, as the Sonics earned a victory for just the second time in six games. Antonio Daniels handed out a game-high nine assists to halt the Raptors’ three-game road winning streak.
Seattle improved to 6-2 all-time on its home court against Toronto.
Rookie point guard Luke Ridnour turned the tide of the game in the second quarter, when he provided a burst of energy. He finished the game with career highs in assists (eight) and rebounds (six) and had eight points in 20 minutes.
In the second quarter, with Seattle holding a two-point lead, Ridnour scored consecutive baskets, then led a run that gave Seattle a 15-point lead at halftime.
The Sonics, who played the second leg of four-game homestand last night, won for just the seconds time in its last six at home and improved to 15-13 in their arena this season.
Seattle will return to action on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
